Give each person a copy of the Declaration of Independence and have them circle all the times’ God is mentioned.Break out the sparklers (under adult supervision of course!).Set up a red, white, and blue sidewalk chalk center and step back and enjoy the kids’ patriotic creations.Set up and ring your own “Liberty Bell” and have each person declare the liberties they are thankful for.Cool off with a family water gun fight or run through the sprinkler with your kids.Have a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.I hope you will have as much fun as we did!
I am excited to share with you some of the fun family activities our family has participated in over the years. I think of patriotism, the birthday of the United States of America, picnics, the Constitution, parades, and family fun! Holidays are a great opportunity to make meaningful family memories, educate the family on the “how” and “why” of the special day, and have a ton of fun while you’re at it!
